The Different Types of Invisalign

Invisalign clear braces are a convenient and discreet alternative to traditional braces for many people across the country who have misaligned teeth in one way or another. The Invisalign system is highly customizable, with multiple treatment options many patients haven’t heard about. Far from being a one-size-fits-all treatment, the Invisalign process takes highly precise measurements of the mouth and teeth to put patients on a specific path toward an aligned smile, described by the several different types of procedure available for treatment.

Different Types of Invisalign

Every type of Invisalign plan comes with personalized clear alignment trays that slowly and gently push your teeth into the correct position. At Swan Orthodontics, this means every person’s Invisalign plan works for their unique needs, and every aligner tray is shaped to move teeth precisely and gently into a new position.

Invisalign Express

A relatively quick solution for fixing mild tooth crowding or other minor issues, Invisalign express is a six-month treatment program that uses only 10 sets of aligners to achieve a healthier, straighter smile.

Invisalign i7

Invisalign i7 is an even faster method of getting the results you’re looking for from orthodontic care by needing only seven aligner trays to fix mild alignment issues.

Invisalign Lite

For more robust changes that Invisalign Express can’t treat, Invisalign Lite provides a balance between effective alignment treatment and quick results. In a typical treatment plan, patients receive 14 aligners and wear them for six months or more.

Invisalign Full

For moderate to severe tooth issues that can still be solved without the use of regular braces, you’ll benefit from the full Invisalign treatment plan. During Invisalign Full, you’ll receive custom-fitted alignment trays to wear nearly full-time for over a year, up to 18 months.

What Issues Can Invisalign Solve?

Invisalign is not right for everyone, as people with severe tooth correction or a narrow palate will likely benefit more from traditional techniques, which have advanced in recent years to be more discreet than in t he past. Issues Invisalign can likely help with depending on your unique dental anatomy include:

  • Mild tooth crowding
  • Tooth gaps
  • Mild cross-bite or overbite

To know if Invisalign aligners are right for you or your loved one, it’s best to get a professional evaluation at Swan Orthodontics, where we will create a customized plan and work with your insurance or a payment plan to make your orthodontic care affordable to you.
