Dr. Swan is committed to creating superior orthodontic results in a friendly, patient-centered environment. She enjoys getting to know each of her patients and watching their smiles and confidence improve as treatment progresses.

Education

A native of Coldwater, Michigan, Dr. Swan completed her undergraduate education at Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in chemistry with high honors.

Her Doctorate of Dental Surgery was earned at the University of Michigan, where she remained for her post-graduate training in orthodontics.

In 2007, she was awarded a Master of Science for her thesis on three-dimensional radiographic techniques. Dr. Swan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a Platinum Invisalign® certified provider.

Continuing Education

Along with her professional affiliations, Dr. Swan completes about two times the amount of required CE training to keep our practice at the forefront of developing techniques and technology. She's served on the board of directors for the Kent County Dental Society and was even a past vice president.

Dr. Swan is well-respected throughout the Grand Rapids dental community. She was the president of the Michigan Association of Orthodontists and served on its board of directors for several years. She was even selected as the 2014 MDA New Dentist Leadership Award recipient.

Outside the Office

Dr. Swan lives with her husband Ben, their two children Charlie and Allison and their cat, Lucy.  Dr. Swan loves spending time with her family.

In the summer, they love to head to Lake Michigan and spend some time on the beach. During the winter months, they like to catch up with the latest movies.
